William Chittum Obituary

William "Bill" Lee Chittum, age 57, of Hopetown Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio, and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died Friday May 11, 2012 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born April 3, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Lester and Margaret Gallagher Chittum. He was united in marriage March 12, 1999 to his wife Sheila Riley Chittum, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Patrick Lee Chittum of Columbus, Ohio, one brother, David (Judy) Chittum of Columbus, Ohio, three sisters, Debra Breitfeller and Lisa Chittum, both of Marysville, Ohio and Linda (Mike) Hays of Unionville Center, Ohio, several nieces and nephews, two very special great-nieces, Sage and Tiara, mother-in-law, Inize Riley Miller, a special nephew Josh Nickell, and three special nieces, Rachel Nickell, Danielle Nickell, and Megan Nickell. He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan K. Riley Chittum , an infant son, and an infant brother, Michael Chittum. Mr. Chittum was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during Vietnam and later worked in the recruiting services department for nearly 20 years. He was employed at the Honda East Liberty plant for thirteen years. Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday May 14, 2012 at the Antioch Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio with Minister Jason Ridgeway officiating. Military graveside services will be held by the D.A.V. Chapter 45 of Jackson. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Sunday May 13, 2012 and from 9-11:00 A.M. Monday at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
