William "bill" Calhoun

William "Bill" Calhoun, age 87, of Jackson, Ohio, died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 30, 1927 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, a son of the late James and Allie Rowe Calhoun. Mr. Calhoun was united in marriage October 9, 1948 to his wife, Clara Spencer Calhoun, who survives. Also surviving are one sister, Minerva Eberst of Grove City, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Calhoun, one brother, Joby Calhoun, and three sisters, Josephine Roberts, Mabel Royer and Madaline Lancione. Mr. Calhoun was a member of the Beaver Valley United Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 31, 2015 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Jeff Conley, Bro. Charlie Skaggs, and Bro. Arvil Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Hannah Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
