Troy Henson Jr.

Troy Henson Jr., age 67, of Waverly, Ohio, died Tuesday August 20, 2013 at the Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born June 23, 1946 in McDowell, Kentucky, a son of the late Troy Henson Sr. and Virginia King Henson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca L. Dugan. Surviving are his loving long-time companion, Shelby Jean Gibson of Waverly, Ohio, four sons, Troy Jasen (Timothy Hittle) Henson III of Cincinnati, Ohio, Stacy Trevor (Celeste) Henson of Orlando, Florida, Samael Curtis Henson of Oldenburg, Indiana, and Christopher (Brandi) Gibson of Thornville, Ohio, one daughter, Cristen (Greg) Carpenter of Thornville, Ohio, five grandchildren, Jeremiah Ray Gibson, Bailee Nichole Carpenter, Noah Michael Carpenter, Gage Carpenter and Sterling Carpenter, two brothers, Darrell (Loretta) Henson of South Bloomfield, Ohio and Richard (Betty) Henson of Waverly, Ohio, and one sister, Joyce King of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mr. Henson was employed as a delivery truck driver for 25 years, loved hunting and being outdoors, was an avid Bingo player and loved to cook. Graveside services will be 4:00 P.M. Friday August 23, 2013 at the Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-4:00 P.M. Friday at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
