Travis Howard Dingess, age 60, of Peebles, Ohio, died Wednesday October 2, 2024 at the Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born May 10, 1964 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Travis Dingess and Georgia Maynard Dingus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Smith Dingess on August 2, 2018. Surviving are one son, Michael Dingess of West Virginia, one daughter, Christal (Evan Beekman) Dingess of Peebles, Ohio, two step-sons, Basil Lansing III and Trace Lansing, both of Peebles, Ohio, one step-daughter, Terryn Scott of Peebles, Ohio, his grandchildren, Johnathen Dingess, Madison Dingess, Faith Dingess, Alexis Tackett, Morgan Dingess, Paisley McCoy, Sage Beekman, Deandre Dingess, Kyson Dingess, Bradley Dingess, his step-grandchildren, Hazel Lansing, Amelia Scott, Addie Scott, and Kaleb Stevens, one brother, Christion Dingess, and a very special friend, Jodi Scott of Peebles, Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Avery McCoy and Grayson Scott and two brothers, Johnny Dingess and Steven Dingess.
Travis enjoyed anything related to the outdoors and loved spending his time hunting and fishing.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 13, 2024 in the Cox Cemetery, located on Billy Branch Rd., Genoa, West Virginia. Visiting time will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service Sunday at the cemetery. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
