Shela Fay Montgomery

  Shela Fay Montgomery, born February 12, 1963, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 16th, 2020, at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. On November 8th, 1991, Shela was united in marriage to Jeff Montgomery of Beaver, Ohio. Together they made their home and raised their sons, Doug (Tiffany) Morton of Wellston, Ohio, Jacob Montgomery of Beaver, Ohio and Nathaniel Montgomery of Lithopolis, Ohio, who survive. Shela is also survived by her parents, Ray and Mary Henderson, three brothers, James (Rhonda) Henderson, Jeff Henderson and Dwayne Henderson.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Dylan Morton, Drew Morton and Dalton Montgomery and many more family and friends who will greatly miss her. One of her favorite things to do was watch her grandchildren play sports and enjoy life. She enjoyed gardening and canning, collecting salt and pepper shakers and watching the hummingbirds in their feeders. Shela was a homemaker and worked as a deputy clerk for the Pike County Juvenile Courts for many years. Wednesday July 22, 2020 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Ryan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery located at the family residence. Friends may call from 5-8:00 P.M. Tuesday July 21, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 precautions, social distancing recommendations will be observed and the wearing of masks is welcomed but not mandatory.
