Sheila Bernice Chittum, age 59, of Oak Hill, Ohio, died Tuesday October 14, 2025 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born July 26, 1966 in Wyandotte, Michigan, a daughter of the late William Riley and Inize Tuttle Riley Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirteen years, William Chittum on May 11, 2012. Surviving are her brothers, William Keith (Vickie) Riley of Jackson, Ohio and George (Melinda) Riley of Chillicothe, Ohio, her favorite sister, Sherleena (“Squeak”) Nickell of Beaver, Ohio, sister-in-law Lisa Chittum, special nieces, Rachel, Danielle, Megan, Yvonne, Tiara, and Sage, special nephews, Bill and Josh (Deidre), aunts, Betty (Eddie), Alma, and Sherry, and her uncle Joseph. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Riley-Chittum and a brother, Richard Riley.
Sheila served as the former Beaver Village Clerk.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday October 18, 2025 in the Antioch Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. Burial will follow at the conclusion of services. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
