Sara Jane (Walker) Simmons

Sara Jane Simmons, age 49, of Piketon, Ohio, was pronounced dead in her home Wednesday morning. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Ann and Albert Walker. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, grandparents, and mother-in-law. Survivors include her husband Russell Simmons Sr., a daughter Sara Elizabeth and four sisters, Neva (Jerry) Simmons of Piketon, Sylvia Walker of Latham, Shawn (Bryan) Walker of Lucasville, and Elvira (Lester) Simmons of Piketon, three brothers, Albert Walker of Beaver, Mark Walker of Waverly, and Dewey (Krystal) Walker of Lancaster. She also had five nieces, Toni (Michael) Rhoads, Makayla Walker, Mackenzie Walker, Micah Walker, and Adrienna Simmons, three nephews, Angelo Walker, James and Bryan Harris, three great-nieces, Chloe, Cayleigh, and Salem, and two great-nephews, Connor and Cayson.

Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday April 6, 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
