Russell M Ward

Russell M. Ward, age 82, of Paintsville, Kentucky, formerly of Beaver, Ohio, died Sunday April 27, 2025 at the Paintsville, ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born August 5, 1942 in Wakefield, Ohio, a son of the late Lunda Millard Ward and Esta May (Cordle) Ward. Surviving are a very special friend and caretaker whom he considered a daughter, Mary Ann (Phillip) Cantrell of Paintsville, Kentucky, and her children, whom he considered grandchildren, Austin Trimble, Dallas Trimble, Taylor (Krystopher) Smith, Faith Coen, Dalton Killen, and Blake Cantrell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Edward Ward and Ishmel Ward and two sisters, Samantha Ward and Darlene Simons.

Russell attended the Happy Hollow Church of Christ when his health allowed.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 1, 2025 at the Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio with Daniel Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the conclusion of services. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
