Rosetta Ward Obituary

Rosetta "Rosie" Ward, age 78, of Waverly, Ohio, died Saturday April 6, 2013 at Traditions of Bristol Village in Waverly, Ohio. She was born May 30, 1934 in York, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ralph and Esther (Bentley) Lowder. Mrs. Ward was united in marriage June 21, 1951 to Alonzo "Lonnie"Schramm who preceded her in death August 8, 1995. On October 15, 2000 she was united in marriage to Ishmel R. Ward, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Althea Fyffe and husband Jeffrey of Waverly, Ohio, Lamona Whitt of Circleville, Ohio and Harold Adams of Beaver, Ohio. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Danita (Fyffe) and Mike Milliron, son Logan of Waverly, Ohio, Shaun and Kristi (Hopkins) Fyffe, children Emmalee and Colton of Waverly, Ohio, Michael and Jessica (Decker) Hand, children Stella Rose and Lucas of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Vicki (Whitt) and Mike Fyffe, daughter Ellie Lucille of Chillicothe, Ohio. Three sisters, Sylvia Collins and Karnetta Curtis of Columbus, Ohio, and Eloise Salyers of Sciotoville, Ohio. Two brothers, Arnold Lowder Sr. of Florida and James "Jim" Lowder of Canton, Ohio. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva (Lowder) Keaton and Shirley (Lowder) Fairchild and three brothers, Dow Lowder, Robert "Bob" Lowder and Johnny Lowder. Mrs. Ward grew up in the Wakefield area, attended the Latham Christian Union Church and in her lifetime worked at Goodyear Tire in Jackson, Ohio and the Pike Community Hospital and Bristol Court in Waverly, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Rev. Ronald Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
