Rosa "bea" Boggs

Rosa Beatrice "Bea" (Woods) Boggs, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Sunday November 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 19, 1932 in Pike County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie (Havens) Woods. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boggs was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Boggs, four sisters, Joyce (infant), Esther Willis, Louella Rider and Violet Adams, and a grandson David Sammons. She is survived by her children, Sterling (Karen) Boggs and Nellie Faith (Alonzo "Ace") Sammons, grandchildren Sterling Boggs, Carl (Brooke) Boggs and Alonzo "A.C." (Kim) Sammons, great-grandchildren, Lewis and Brent Boggs, Lola and Lila Boggs and Leah and Zeek Sammons, and sisters, Charlotte (Shark) Tackett and Clara "Cuddy" (Harry) Rider, one brother, Robert (Pat) Woods and many nieces, nephews, and Church family. Grandsons and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 28, 2015 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastors Ed Hunt and Roy Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
