Roger Dale Wiseman, age 72, of Beaver, Ohio, died Friday May 30, 2025 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 28, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Wilbur Wiseman and Rowena Faye Moon Wiseman. He was united in marriage September 7, 1973, to his wife, Patricia Bapst Wiseman, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Heather (Jerry)) Miller of Waverly, Ohio, his grandson, Evan Roger Miller of Waverly, Ohio, a brother, Gary (Kim) Wiseman of Beaver, Ohio, a sister, Teresa (Rick) Kuntzman of Beaver, Ohio, and host of nieces and nephews.
Roger spent his adult years working as a self-employed machinist. He possessed the gift of having the ability to engineer and fabricate anything. This gift allowed him the opportunity to build and operate a very successful business throughout his career. He had a dependable, knowledgeable, and loving presence that his family and many others looked to for guidance, and was widely respected by the community and his family alike. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending his free time being active outside, and could often be found mowing or working in his garden.
Roger also had a special place in his heart for animals and he took in many strays over the years that became pets. One special animal in particular in which he developed a very special loving bond, his golden retriever Buster.
In all that Roger achieved and accomplished throughout his life, his most treasured reward was his family. He loved his family immensely, and his wife, daughter, and grandson were blessed by his love and support. They were the reason behind every decision he made.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday June 5, 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Bapst officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. Wednesday June 4, 2025 at the funeral home.
