Robert L. Myers Sr.

  Robert L. Myers Sr., age 79, of Beaver, Ohio, died Sunday August 16, 2020 at his residence. He was born December 2, 1940 in West Virginia, a son of the late Harry and Virginia Helmick Myers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Rapp Myers, on July 20, 2020. Surviving are his children, Sherry (Russell Blevins) Hurt of Beaver, Ohio, Robert (Victoria) Myers Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Roger (Shannon Cesta) Myers of Columbus, Ohio, and Ronnie Myers of Columbus, Ohio, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, three sisters, Louise Wells of Springfield, Ohio, Bobbie (Baldy) Baldversorn of West Virginia, and Kathy West of Prestonsburg, West Virginia, brother-in-law, Clifford Rapp Jr. of Beaver, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Betty Jean (David) Conley of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, William Blevins, three sisters, Elizabeth Korviniskey, Betty Myers, and Mayetta Chafin, and a brother-in-law, Glenn Wells. Robert was a member of the Beaver Emmanuel United Methodist Church, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and enjoyed carpentry work, both as a profession and a hobby. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday August 20, 2020 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Terry Caldwell officiating. Burial will be will be held at a later date in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
