Rick Pennington

Rick Pennington, age 59, of S.R. 335, Beaver, Ohio, died Saturday July 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 7, 1952 in Beaver, Ohio, a son of James Pennington of Beaver, Ohio and the late Grace Chandler Pennington. He was united in marriage November 15, 1996 to his wife, Janet Johnson Pennington, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kendra (Dave) Roosa of Waverly, Ohio and Trinette Pennington of Waverly, Ohio, one son, Rickey Pennington II of Beaver, Ohio, four grandsons, three brothers, Jim (Brenda) Pennington of Beaver, Ohio, Jess (Lee) Pennington of Beaver, Ohio, and Frank (Cicilia) Pennington of Jonesville, Virginia, four sisters, Darlene Mason of West Alexandria, Ohio, Judy Vercammen of Medford, Oregon, Jane Martin of Beaver, Ohio, and Brenda Cooley of Durham, North Carolina, a sister-in-law, Hazel Pennington of Beaver, Ohio, two brothers-in-law, Terry Marquand of Columbus, Ohio and Roger Holbrook of Jackson, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Pennington and Ron Pennington, two sisters, Alice Marquand and Carolyn Holbrook, and two brothers-in-law, Bob Mason and Jim Martin. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday July 27, 2012 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Rev. Major Montgomery officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the SOMC Cancer Center, Att. Lisa, 1121 Kinneys Lane, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
