Reva Mae Sagraves Bailey, age 84, of Beaver, Ohio, died Sunday October 27, 2013 at Traditions of Bristol Village in Waverly, Ohio. She was born July 15, 1929 in Beaver, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Bertha Mae Keppler Rapp. She was united in marriage July 23, 1949 to Dorse L. Sagraves, who preceded her in death August 25, 1991. She was later united in marriage to James Bailey, who preceded her in death November 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Teryl (Archie) Hamilton of Jackson, Ohio and Rebecca Bond of Beaver, Ohio, Jim Bond of Beaver, Ohio, four grandchildren, Tammy (Greg) Jones of Jackson, Ohio, Tina (Brad) Vulgamore of Piketon, Ohio, Jamie (Mindie) Bond of Beaver, Ohio and Katie Bond of Laguna Beach, California, five great-grandchildren, Brice, Lauren, and Alexander Vulgamore of Piketon, Ohio and Ryane and Reese Bond of Beaver, Ohio one brother, Merritt (Wanda) Rapp of Waco, Texas, one sister-in-law, Esther Rapp, two brothers-in-law, Richard Ray and Hubert Ingall, and numerous nieces, nephews, and very special friends. In addition to her parents and first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Emory (Carol) Rapp, Edsel (Helen) Rapp and Mendal Rapp and four sisters, Glenna (Bill) Steele, Ruby Ingall, LaVerne (Tom) Brown and Norma Ray. Mrs. Bailey graduated from Beaver High School in 1947 and served as Secretary of Beaver Alumni for 50 years. She was a member of the Beaver Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Beaver Octoberfest Committee, Beaver Valley Historical Society, Beaver Homemakers Club, and Beaver Garden Club, was active in the Beaver EMS, and served as a 4-H advisor for many years. She always said there was no place to live like Beaver. She loved the village and the people. She sent cards to everyone and enjoyed getting them in return. She adored and loved her grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday October 31, 2013 at the Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio with Minister Herman Stewart officiating. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Wednesday October 30, 2013 and from 10-11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity of choice.
