Regina Foster Obituary

Regina “Nanny” Foster of Peebles, Ohio was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 31, 1949 to Wilson and Nellie Ratliff. She earned her white robe on September 17, 2024.

She had four children

Karen Page (David Brandenburg), Roy (Tammy) Garrison, Chrissy Garrison and the late Scott Garrison.

She was proceeded in death by both of her parents, her sister Helena Maddy, two baby brothers, her youngest son Scott, and several friends. She was survived by Von Foster, who she raised her own children with; her children and their spouses, her beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her dog, Mya.

Grandchildren include Joshua Page, Tifani Hughes, Tyler and Carissa Brandenburg, Shea Garrison, Aaron and Mia Swayne, Zachary and Kaitlyn Garrison, Jerrod Garrison, Savanna Garrison and Nick Sexton, Baylee Warner and Justin Fultz, Seth Garrison and Abi Lowder, Zane Garrison and Tacey Mcnichols, Carson Hillard, Bryden Tomilson, Scotty Garrison, and Carter Garrison; Special bonus grand-daughter Tatyana Jackson.

Great-grandchildren include Keirstyn Little; Christian, Garrett, and Jase Page; Gage and Peyton Brandenburg; Gavin Kerns, Charlotte Fury, Violet Nicholas; Jase Morgan, Chase Fossyl, Ellie Robinson, Jaxon and Reese Swayne; Kason and Maelee Garrison; Piper Sexton; Halo Garrison; Zander and Tanzlee Garrison; Carson, Carter, Colson, Elizabeth and Grace Hillard.

Also including one great-great-granddaughter, Jazlin.

Regina was a devout Christian woman. She was proud of that, and many knew her for that and her prayer over them. There was no question of her faith, or her love for her family. She lived a lot of life, a hard life at times, but a good life with a smile on her face always. She was in good health; she spent her last working years as a home health aide for many that were even younger than her, and made some life long friends that way as well. When she wasn’t at work, she was with her kids or grand kids. The last few years she “worked” babysitting HER boys, along with the other great-grands from time to time. She loved being needed and staying busy, and there’s no place she’d rather be than with her family.

Most knew Regina as “Nanny.” She was the best grandma in the entire world to her grandbabies, and any friends they brought around knew her as their Nanny as well. It is true that many didn’t even know her first name, and it didn’t matter because she was EVERYONE’S Nanny.

Nanny loved, and was loved back by so many. She made an impact on everyone she met and she leaves behind many broken hearts.

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15 KJV
