Rebecca (Veith) Petty

Rebecca Petty, age 72, of Waverly, Ohio, died Sunday December 10, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1951 in Gahanna, Ohio, a daughter of the late George Veith and Angelina Amburgey Veith. She was united in marriage to her husband of 42 years, Marvin H. Petty, who preceded her in death March 2, 2013. Surviving are three children, Michael (Dawn) Petty of Lancaster, Ohio, Marvin (Martha) Petty Jr. of Waverly, Ohio, and Angela (Matthew) Robbins of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Katrina (Caleb) Hinds of Morehead, Kentucky, Michael Petty of Lancaster, Ohio, Tyler Robbins of Lancaster, Ohio, Alyssa (Austin) Chesshir of Lancaster, Ohio, Trenton Petty of Lancaster, Ohio, Mackenzie Petty of Waverly, Ohio, and Miya Petty of Waverly, Ohio, four brothers and sisters, Jim (Sue) Veith of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Kristal Moore of Galloway, Ohio, Jeanette Fairchild of Cumberland, Kentucky, and Michael Veith of Cumberland, Kentucky, and very special Aunt Betty Amburgey of Beaver, Ohio.

Rebecca was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending her spare time fishing and camping, and she adored her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday December 17, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 12-2:00 P.M. Saturday December 16, 2023 at the funeral home.
