Ralph Harold James Jr., age 73, of Hillsboro, Ohio, died Wednesday August 10, 2016 at the O.S.U. Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born February 24, 1943 in Piketon, Ohio, a son of the late Phyllis Beoddy James and Ralph Harold James Sr. He was united in marriage February 13, 2010 to his wife, Debra VanVleet James, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Amanda (Bob) Entler of Waverly, Ohio, Raymond (Dawn) James of New Port Richey, Florida and Tracy (Donnie) Fregia of Moss Hill, Texas, his step-children, Timothy (Shannon) Place of Buchanan, Michigan, David (Mellisa) Place of Buchanan, Michigan and Dennis (Suzette) Place of Buchanan Michigan, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. James was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Hillsboro, Ohio, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Hillsboro Chapter. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday August 14, 2016 at Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio with Pastor Randle Gobel officiating and military services provided by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
