Phil Smith

  Phil Smith, age 37, of Waverly, Ohio, died Tuesday February 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 25, 1980 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Janet (Dave) Bliss Young of Waverly, Ohio and the late Villard Smith. Phil was united in marriage January 8, 2005 to his wife, Cristy Dawn Mabe Smith, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Madison Smith and Christian Smith, both at home, one brother, Josh Smith of Waverly, Ohio, two step-brothers, Robert (Reva) Young of Wilmington, Ohio and James (Sarah McGuire) Young of Kettering, Ohio, one step-sister, Mary (Brad) Sonner of Hillsboro, Ohio and his grandmother, Jean (Ishmel) Ward of Waverly, Ohio, In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernie and Gertie Smith and Norman Bliss. Funeral services will be 5:30 P.M. Monday March 5, 2018 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
