Peter "Lew" Schrader

Peter “Lew” Schrader, age 87, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024 at his home surrounded by loved ones. 

Lew was born April 19, 1937 in Beaver, Ohio to Alvin “Nick” and Eliza (Chandler) Schrader who proceeded him in death. Lew is married to Nancy (Evans) Schrader (June 6, 1956) for 68 years. Together they have 4 children, Jeff (Vicki) Schrader, Scott Schrader, Brent (Vickie) Schrader and Kara Schrader. 

Lew was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Alvin “George” Schrader, Melvin “Beanie” Schrader, Paul Schrader, James “Cavis” Schrader, Danny Schrader, Wayne Schrader, and Homer Schrader (Infant), and 3 sisters Mary Bobst, Carolyn Sue Schrader, and Roberta Rider.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and dirt track racing, trips to Dollywood, gardening, bean dinners and spending time with family. 

Services will be held on September 13, 2024 from 5-8 for visitation and September 14, 2024 at 11 for the funeral at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Jeremy Davis and burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery.
