Pearl (Francis) Montgomery Nickell

Pearl Francis Montgomery Nickell, age 81, of Piketon, Ohio, died on February 6, 2026 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born April 27, 1944 in Paintsville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Henry Taylor “Bud” Francis and Dollie Wicker Francis. Survivors include Eric (April) Montgomery, grandchildren, Logan (Bailey) Montgomery, and Evan and Ethan Montgomery, great-granddaughter, Carli Montgomery, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pearl was preceded in death by her first husband, Emery “Gene” Montgomery, her parents, Bud and Dollie Francis, brothers and sisters, Annie Bolen, Leo Francis, Hazel Hodge, Paul B. Francis, David Francis, Beulah Francis, Bessie Francis, and second husband, Bearl Nickell.

Pearl was employed as a care giver in the home health field for many years.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday February 11, 2026 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
