Olga Hampton Obituary

Olga Octavia Moles Hampton, age 81, of Beaver, Ohio, died Monday December 2, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born December 23, 1931 in Betsy Layne, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Carl Richard and Gay Nell Hatfield Moles. Mrs. Hampton was united in marriage April 19, 1952 to her husband, Otto Hampton, who preceded her in death January 4, 2006. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Darrell Hampton, Alan Patrick Hampton, and Kevin Otto Hampton, all of Beaver, Ohio, two daughters, Linda Jane Schiffer of Columbia, Maryland and Doris Elaine Berry of Olathe, Kansas, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Madison "Bud" Moles and Jackie Dean Moles, both of Albany, Ohio, and four sisters, Patricia Jean Ledford, Janis Moles, and Joyce Moles, all of Albany, Ohio and Annie Scalf of Myrtle Beach. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jency. Mrs. Hampton was employed as registered nurse for many years after earning her LPN accreditation from Berea University and her RN accreditation from the East Tennessee St. University. She was a very active member of the Berea Nursing School Alumni and was very strong in her faith as a Christian. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. Sunday December 8, 2013 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Graveside services will follow in the Bean Hill Cemetery in Vinton County, Ohio.
