Odra "bud" Jones

Odra "Bud" Jones, age 92, of Beaver, Ohio, died Saturday January 31, 2015 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born December 4, 1922 in Floyd County, Kentucky, a son of the late Amos and Dorsey Newsome Jones. He is survived by two sons, Ronald (Valerie) Jones of Michigan and Rick Jones, one daughter, Donna Jean, a grandson Corey Jones, and a host of nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Connie Rowe and nephews Mike Rowe and David Rowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Curtis, Lynn Cook, Draxie Turner and Mary M. Rowe. Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran, having served in WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Beaver VFW Post #9942, regularly attended the Senior Citizens Center where he enjoyed playing Euchre, and had a love for fresh Amish grown vegetables. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday February 2, 2015 at the Beaver Union Cemetery with Dean Manning Minister, officiating and military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
