Mazel Irene Ross

Mazel Irene Ross, 91, of Piketon, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 7, 2017 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born May 13, 1926 in Wayne County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charley Adkins and Theora Gilkerson Adkins. Mazel was united in marriage to Roy E. Ross on January 30, 1943, who preceded her in death November 9, 1998. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles R. Ross and Roger D. Ross, one daughter, Cheryl L. Cox, one grandson, Aaron Daniel Ross, three sisters, one infant sister and one brother. Surviving are three sons, Galen (Pam) Ross of Beaver, Ohio, Blaine (Jeannie) Ross of Piketon, Ohio and Patrick (Shelly) Ross of Piketon, Ohio, daughters-in-law Rinda Ross and Joanne Ross, both of Piketon, Ohio, 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Melita Wooten of Wayne, West Virginia, Leola Mills of Huntington, West Virginia, Velora Frasher of Huntington, West Virginia and Nellie Adkins of Waverly, Ohio and two brothers, Lowell (Joyce) Adkins of Lavalette, West Virginia and Wetzel (Wanda) Adkins of Catlettsburg, Kentucky. Mrs. Ross was a member of the Happy Hollow Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday July 11, 2017 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Emual Adkins and Bro. Danny Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Monday July 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
