Mary L. Walker

Mary Lois Walker, age 66, of Hay Hollow Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio, died Tuesday August 28, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter of the late John and Maria Garcia Steer. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Leonard J. Walker, on June 26, 1999. Surviving are four sons, Leonard A. Walker, Sihponima K. Walker, Vishnuankor K. Walker, and Ilihawa Walker, nine daughters, Nayesha Ridenour, Lahasa Walker, Naitpyge Anderson, Abadisba Gibson, Akadika McCarroll, Ciatisa Walker, Nika Tolbert, Ankasenka Walker, and Tahitian Walker, thirty grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Walker was a member of the AME Methodist Church. The viewing of Mary L. Walker will start at 1:00 P.M. and the funeral services will start at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 1, 2012 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 13236 S.R. 335, Beaver, Ohio, with Rev. Keith Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrs Run Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
