Mary Minor Obituary

Mary Hazel Minor, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday March 27, 2022, at her home in Waverly, Ohio.

She was born August 14, 1926, in Waverly, OH, to the late Lloyd Ellis Johnson and Lucy Jane Claytor Johnson. On Feb. 11, 1942 she married James Ernest “Runt” Minor who passed Nov. 3, 2006.

Surviving are her children, James (Janet) Minor of Waverly, OH, Gary Minor of Waverly, OH, Lonnie (Susan) Minor of Tehachapi, CA, Connie Downing of Waverly, OH and Randy (Jeanne) Minor of Waverly, OH. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Among her many relatives and friends, she also leaves her friends at the Bethel Ridge Baptist Church where she was a member.

Mary is Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and son-in-law Barry Scott Downing. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Lawson and Patricia Poling and brothers, Paul Johnson, Harry Johnson, Gerald Johnson, and Gene Johnson.

There will be a celebration of life for Mary at a later date.
