Mary Lee Hines

Mary Lee Hines, age 79, of Waverly, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord Sunday January 23, 2022 while at her home. She was born April 4, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edgar Fuller and Leda Newman Bennett. She was united in marriage in 1967 to her husband, Delbert Hines, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Brett (Bobbie) Hines of Waverly, Ohio and Scott (Christina) Martin of Waverly, Ohio and five grandchildren, Jade (Rob) Martin-Willis of Keene, New Hampshire, Tyler Martin of Grundy, Virginia, Brenon (Anna) Hines of Waverly, Ohio, Wyatt Hines of Waverly, Ohio, and Levi Hines of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce “Gig” Hines.

Mary attended the Beaver Faith United Methodist Church in Beaver, Ohio when her health allowed. Throughout her life, she was employed as a cosmetologist with over 40 years of service at various salons, eventually retiring while working at Trend Setters in Waverly, Ohio. Mary was a loving and caring person who adored her family and cherished her grandchildren. She was warmhearted and kind, and never knew a stranger nor had a negative word to speak of anyone. She will be greatly missed by many.

A funeral church service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 27, 2022 at the Beaver Faith United Methodist Church in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Brian Hedden officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Due to COVID 19 concerns, the family respectfully requests masks be worn by those attending the service.
