Mary Madge (McCown) Blevins

Mary Madge Blevins, age 63, of Lucasville, Ohio, died Saturday July 13, 2025 at her residence. She was born April 6, 1962 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fred McCown and Patricia Weiner McCown. She was united in marriage May 18, 1981 to her husband, James F. Blevins, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jamie (T.J.) Workman of Jackson, Ohio and Ashley (Charles) Nutt of Lucasville, Ohio, five grandchildren, Nevaeh Easley, Xavier Blevins, Abigail Easley, Haillee Workman and Emylee Workman, two sisters, Patricia Vincent of Columbus, Ohio and Jackie Rinehart of Columbus, Ohio, her mother-in-law, Daisy Blevins of Lucasville, Ohio, one sister-in-law, Judy (Jerry) Riley of Chillicothe, Ohio, and one brother-in-law, Shawn Blevins of Louisa Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Thomison and JoJo Horton and one brother, Fred McCown.Jr.

Mary was a member of the Wakefield Freewill Baptist Church and the church Lady’s Auxillary.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday July 16, 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Lowell King officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
