Marcella Murray

  Marcella Murray, 90, of Beaver, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born September 11, 1927, in Pike County, Ohio, to the late Ida Viola Mercer. Her husband, Raymond Murray, preceded her in death on March 27, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Rodney, Ronald, and Raymond "Joe" Murray, and her daughter, Linda (Steve) Smith. Surviving are her daughters, Wilma Spradlin of Waverly, Eunice McGlaun of Indianapolis, Cathy (Ronald) Keiser of Chillicothe, Sherry (Charles) Stanley of Chillicothe, Anita Murray of Piketon, and her son, Darrell (Debbie) Murray of Beaver; eight grandchildren, Candi (Mike) Cook, Laura (Jim) Abel, Jason Thompson, Jeremy Smith, Tara (Joe) Bowen, Scott Snyder, Kathi Snyder, and Stephanie Stanley and fiancé, Corey Clemmons; and five great-grandchildren, Kelcie Cook, Aaron Cook, Jimmy Abel, Emily Bowen, and Avery Snyder-Moosbrugger.  Also surviving is her longtime friend, Kathleen Hoeckh. She was a born-again Christian.  She lived simply, and was patient and forgiving. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, with Rev. Ronnie Hines officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
