Malcolm Cisco Obituary

Malcolm Lee Cisco, age 69, of Beaver, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Monday October 8, 2012 at the SOMC Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born January 11, 1943 in Pike Cou nty, Ohio, a son of the late Lee and Gladys Lykins Cisco. Mr. Cisco was united in marriage April 11, 1993 to his wife, Lydia Greene Cisco, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Morgan Cisco of Beaver, Ohio and Jason (Cherie) Cisco of Abingdon, Virginia, two daughters, Nichole and Michelle Cisco, both of Augusta, Georgia, one step-son, Rick Artis of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, two granddaughters, two step-grandsons, one brother, Aldon (Judy) Cisco of Piketon, Ohio, one sister, Garnet Brammer (Jimmy) Brammer of Greenfield, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ponney Cisco and one sister, Opal Rees. Mr. Cisco was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era, attended the Grace Bretheren Church, was a member of the Gideons International, taught school for 35 years at the Eastern High School, received his Masters Degree in Industrial Arts Education from Morehead University, was a member of the Orient Lodge #321 F&AM of Waverly, and was a World Champion Arm Wrestler. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday October 12, 2012 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Tillson Greene and Bro. Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday October 11, 2012 at the funeral home.
