Lester Blevins, age 76, of Beaver, Ohio, died Thursday July 3, 2025 at the Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born April 9, 1949 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, a son of the late William Jett Blevins and Zelda Edwards Blevins. Surviving are one daughter, Serena (Chris) Blevins Fields of Beaver, Ohio, one son, Lonnie (Rhonda) Blevins of Piketon, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Brittany Wyant, Paige Wyant, Derrick Durant, Caleb Lee, Lamar Blevins, Alexander Wisecup, and Shanelle Wisecup, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Shelley Ann (Danny) Brown of Beaver, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Wyant, one grandchild, Brice Durant, five brothers, Jeff Blevins, Jay Blevins, James Blevins, Sylvester Blevins and Leslie Blevins, two sisters, Shelbey Jean Blevins and Shirley Shaw, and the mother of his children, Rita May Shreck.
Lester was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served during Vietnam and was a dedicated employee of Pike Sanitation for over 40 years. His greatest treasure was his family, and the love he had for them was never ending, especially his bae bae kids.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 8, 2025 in the Beaver Union Cemetery with Pastor Larry Moore officiating and military honors conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Burial will follow at the conclusion of services. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
