Leonard Harris Obituary
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotton Son. Leonard Harris was born March 19, 1956 to the late Walter and Grace Simmons Harris; Leonard passed away on December 13, 2016 at the age of 60 yrs. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Pike County and a graduate of W.H.S. He was united in marriage to Connie on August 16, 1997 who survives; also surviving are two step-daughters, Rhonda and Jodie, three step-granddaughters, Heather, Megan and Tori, two step-grandsons, Jeremiah and Tony and two step-great-grandsons, Damon and Gabe. He is also survived by two sisters, Sarah and Jeanette, both of Beaver, Ohio, two brothers, James of Jackson, Ohio and Paul of Beaver, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends and relatives. Leonard received Christ as his personal savior and was baptized on February 5, 2012. He attended Givens Freewill Baptist Church, Waverly, Ohio. He attended faithfully as his health allowed. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Leonard worked many years at Bristol Village and then at Pike County M.R.D.D., where he ended his career. He was very quiet and respectful of his neighbors and friends, and would help anyone who needed help. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to thank all who have shown them such kindness and understanding and support during these troubled times. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday December 16, 2016 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Charley Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrs Run Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday December 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
