Lee Cunningham Obituary

Lee Cunningham passed away unexpectedly on January 10th, 2024 in his birthplace of Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 57. Lee was born on May 16th, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised by his mother, Frances. They lived a quiet life together with their dogs. He graduated from Brookhaven High School. He then went on to earn an Associate’s degree of Science from Columbus State Community College. He held multiple roles in his tenure, taking his knack for picking up on things to various science based trade positions. Lee lived a life of love and service to all he crossed paths with, often stating that his two children were the purpose of his life. He married his wife Ashley in May of 2017. They traveled to many states together and dined on all the finest cuisine. Lee was an avid listener of rock music, and frequently attended concerts with his loved ones. He was also a dedicated home chef, with a creative mind that was honed for the palates of his home. Lee loved the color purple, and you would never catch him without it on. Known as Hammer to some, he was powerful in the sense that his love could destroy a rock of any size.  Lee sacrificed tremendous amounts of time and devotion to the ones he cared for and will be deeply missed.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Blair-Cunningham, his children Toby and Sydni Cunnigham, and his step-daughter, Caitlynn Blair.

Services will be held from 1-3pm on Sunday, January 14th at Cox Burkitt Funeral home in Beaver, Ohio.
