Kenneth Ray Tackett, 85, of Waverly, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2026.
​Kenneth was the beloved son of the late Rev. Fred Tackett and Sarah Castle Tackett. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Saratoga as an aircraft technician (CV-60). He attended New Life Church in Piketon, Ohio. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
​He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Tackett; his children, Eric Tackett and Holly Nance; his stepdaughters, Lydia Tackett Smith and Pollianna Tackett Thompson; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his brothers, Larry Tackett, Ronald Tackett, and Delbert "Bo" Tackett; and his sisters, Edna Mustard, Maxine Partee, Trisha Bolen, and Gail Helton.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jody Joseph; his parents, Rev. Fred Tackett and Sarah Castle Tackett; and his brothers, Mitchell Tackett, Fred Jr. Tackett, James Tackett, and David Tackett.
​Kenneth will be remembered for his love of his family, his faithful service to his country, and the kindness and strength he shared throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
​The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of all who have shown love and support during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.
