Kenneth David Smith

Kenneth David Smith, age 66, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Beaver, Ohio, died June 8, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 21, 1948, a son of the late Walter D. and Elizabeth A. Smith. Surviving are one daughter, Deanna Smith-Days and two brothers, Robert A. Smith and Wayne E. Smith. Mr. Smith attended the First Baptist Church in Beaver, Ohio and the Neil Ave. First Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam from July 12, 1969 to February 11, 1971, where he received many military honors including the National Service Defense Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 16, 2015 in the Beaver Union Cemetery with Pastor Tim Hines officiating and military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Calling hours will not be observed. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
