Kenneth R. Gilliam

Kenneth R. Gilliam, age 63, of Waverly, Ohio, died Monday January 5, 2015 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 13, 1951 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Seward and Helen Bauer Gilliam. Mr. Gilliam was united in marriage in 1972 to his wife, Nancy E. Hammonds Gilliam, who preceded him in death December 6, 2014. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Ann Bentley of Salyersville, Kentucky, two step-daughters, Regina (Mike) Hamner of Lucasville, Ohio and Tina (John) Seibert of Lucasville, Ohio, three grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, two very special grandsons, John Dwaine Seibert and Kenneth White, nine great-grandchildren, special cousins Nancy and Jim Guilkey, and special friends Linda "Hippie" Chapman, Scott Baxter and Jonathan Bates. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
