Joseph Hershel Mills

Joseph Hershel Mills, of Beaver, Ohio, born on January 7, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio , went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2016. He is preceded in death by parents Joanna (Ted) Gibson and James (Alfreda) Mills, Brother Donald Mills. Survived by his loving wife of 30 years Reva (Tackett) Mills, son: Joseph N Mills, daughters: Brittney Mills, Anna (Brenon) Hines, Andy (Joseph) Holt and the Light of his life granddaughter Heavenly "Peanut" Holt. Brothers: Jesse (Marcy) Mills, James (Kim) Mills, Archie (Cherise) Mills, Michael (Christina) Mills. Sisters: Leola (Fred) Martinez, Joann (Vernon) Shawver, Marshia (Michael) Alexander, Angel and Michelle Gibson. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Joe graduated from Shawnee State University in 2013. He was a softball and basketball coach at Eastern Youth League and summer league. Joe was a deacon at Straight Creek Interprise Baptist Church. Joe Loved his family and friends but most of all he loved our Lord. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday January 25, 2016 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio, with Pastors Mack Waulk and Henry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Sunday January 24, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home, c/o Joseph Mills, 5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, Ohio 45613, to aid in funeral expenses.
