Johnny Tackett Obituary
Johnny Tackett, age 55, of Beaver, Ohio, died Wednesday September 7, 2016 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 22, 1961 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Sid Tackett Sr. and Mary Jo Damron Tackett. Johnny was united in marriage December 18, 1988 to his wife, Lisa Elizabeth Theobald Tackett, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Josh (Coralee) Tackett of Waverly, Ohio, Kayla Tackett of Piketon, Ohio and Clarissa (Erik) Lewis of Beaver, Ohio, four grandchildren, Aaliyah Tackett, Christa and Trista Rhoads and Levi Dingus, five brothers, Daniel (Phylis) Tackett of Beaver, Ohio, Mallard (Linda) Tackett of Beaver, Ohio, Sid (Rose) Tackett of Beaver, Ohio, Eugene (Joyce) Tackett of Piketon, Ohio and Sam Tackett of Beaver, Ohio, five sisters, Bessie Kingera of Beaver, Ohio, Debbie Osborne of Piketon, Ohio, Reva Mills of Beaver, Ohio, Margerette (Mark) Rigsby of Beaver, Ohio and Belynda (Larry) Burton of Waverly, Ohio, one brother-in-law, Frank Tackett of Beaver, Ohio, one sister-in-law, Carolyn Tackett of Piketon, Ohio and numerous friends, including his Beaver Community family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Tackett and Bud Tackett, four sisters, Elzie Tackett, Trilla Anderson, Ethel May Tackett and Fetty Tackett, two brothers-in-law, Bill Anderson and Joe Mills, and one sister-in-law, Pauline Tackett. Johnny attended the Givens Chapel Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 13, 2016 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Jerry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Monday September 12, 2016 at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home, c/o Johnny Tackett, 5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, Ohio 45613 to assist with funeral expenses.
