Joe Boyd Obituary
Joe L. Boyd, age 74, of Beaver, Ohio, died Tuesday March 28, 2017 at the Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born August 14, 1942 in Louisa, Kentucky, a son of the late Walter and Elva Bowling Boyd. Joe was united in marriage July 24, 1964 to his wife, Delores Walters Boyd, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Joe (Tammy) Boyd Jr., Stephanie Boyd and Zachary Boyd, three brothers, Jim Boyd, George Boyd and Glenn Boyd, two sisters, Wilma McKenzie and Mary Fitch, three grandchildren, Renea, Ryan and ShaeLee, six great-grandchildren and two very special friends, Heather Montgomery and Lisa Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Steven Boyd, three brothers, Demp Boyd, June Boyd and Paul Boyd and one sister, Kay Boyd. Joe was a hard-working man and was well liked by all who knew him. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 1, 2017 in the Beaver Union Cemetery with Matt McKee officiating. Friends may call from 5-8:00 P.M. Friday March 31, 2017 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
