Jesse D. Pelfrey, 76, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, formerly of Gravel Hill Road in Beaver, Ohio, died March 16, 2015 at 6:10 a.m. at his residence. Jess was born April 21, 1938 in Beaver, Ohio, a son of the late Cecil and Ethel Bliss Pelfrey of Beaver, Ohio. He was united in marriage April 12, 2012 to his wife, Roxie Andra Vance Pelfrey, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Doreen C. (Ervin) Metoxen of Ruskin, Florida, Darrel (Tina) Pelfrey of Beaver, Ohio, Buddy (Susan) Hyden, Debbie (Todd) McCafferty, Donnie (Barb) Hyden, Wendy Cieszkowski of Ranger, West Virginia, Mark (Betty) Adkins of Stoney Point, North Carolina, Breanna (Derrick) McKinney of Lincolnton, North Carolina and Shaynithia Ramey of the home, eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Georgia, Cathy, and Sherma of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lewis Pelfrey, one brother, Randy and three grandchildren. Jesse was a member of the Givens Free Will Baptist Church on Beaver Pike and a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. Jesse was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Owl Creek Cemetery with Bro. Charley Ross officiating and military services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Calling hours will not be observed.
