Janis Elizabeth Hines

Janis Elizabeth Hines, 88, of Waverly, Ohio, passed peacefully at home on December 10, 2012. Janis was born in Beaver, Ohio on February 27, 1924. She was the daughter of Ezra Damon Bobst and Gladys Marie (Schrader) Bobst. Surviving is her husband of sixty five years, Vernon Hines. She is also survived by her daughter, Debbie Cornett and husband Larry, son, Tim and wife Patty, three grandsons, Wesley Cornett and wife Jenny, Matt Hines and wife Megan, and Nathan Hines. She also had three great grandsons that she adored, Evan and Colton Hines, and Weston Cornett. She is also survived by four sisters and four brothers, Betty Remy, Barb Predragovich, Patsy McGuire and Sue Cochenour, Dean Bobst, Jack Bobst, Jerry Bobst and Robert Bobst. Janis was predeceased by her brother, Ezra Bobst Jr. and her sister, Vonberta Smith. Janis was salutatorian of her 1941 graduating class of Beaver High School. Janis will be remembered for her love for her family, her love of gardening, and her love of sewing, knitting, and quilting. Janis attended Faith United Methodist Church in Beaver. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver with visitation scheduled for Thursday December 13, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 P.M at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday December 14, 2012. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Pastor Dennis Bell will officiate the services.
