James Wilburn Obituary

Mr. James Qualls Wilburn, 81 of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Bethel Ridge Rd., Beaver, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born in South Portsmouth, KY November 22, 1933 to parents, Orville and Ethel (Osborne) Qualls and had lived in Sebring, Florida for the last 21 years. Mr. Wilburn proudly served his country in the US Navy 4 years and the US Air Force 16 years. After retirement from the military, Mr. Wilburn worked 20 years as a Supervisor with Goodyear Atomic/Martin Marietta/Lockhead Martin/U.S.E.C. and he attended First Baptist Church of Lorida. Mr. Wilburn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lily Wilburn; children, Terri Wilburn, Debbie Lewis (Dan), Karen Puckett (Mark), Jimmy Wilburn (Courtney), Ken Wilkerson, Dale Wilkerson (Susan), Allen Wilkerson (Penny); 14 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Pennington, Ruth Walters (Larry), Wanda Grueser, and Barb Pantz; and brothers, Carl Wilburn (Betty), and Don Qualls (Linda). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Hickman, a brother, Bob Wilburn, and twin infant brother and sister. The family will receive friends 2-4PM and 6-8PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio and a service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilburn will be 11AM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Jackson, OH.
