Jack D. Brown, age 74, of Waverly, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday January 31, 2015 while at the O.S.U. Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born February 29, 1940 in Van Lear, Kentucky, a son of the late Clarence and Cora Marie Jayne Brown. Mr. Brown was united in marriage November 12, 1960 to his wife, Rowena May Hill Brown, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Beth (Al) Cooper of Portsmouth, Ohio, Darrel Brown of Chillicothe, Ohio and Brenda Brown (special friend Susan Carpenter) of Waverly, Ohio, two grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Brown and Cameron Brown, both of Grove City, Ohio, five brothers and sisters, Doug (Mary) Brown, Barb Crabtree, Dick (Judy) Brown, Gary (Peggy) Brown and Dan (Shelly) Brown, all of Beaver, Ohio and his church family. Mr. Brown was a member of the Givens Chapel Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Donnie Brown and Pastor Jerry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the funeral home.
