Hollie Hamilton Obituary
Hollie "Ed" Hamilton, age 87, of Piketon, Ohio, died Monday December 26, 2016 at the Pleasant Hill Nursing Facility in Piketon, Ohio. He was born April 18, 1929 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Raymond and Flora Kennard Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was united in marriage September 29, 2007 to his wife, Lenora West Chandler Hamilton, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife of 57 years, Mary Lemaster Hamilton of Paintsville, Kentucky, one daughter, Diana Snyder, an infant son, Michael Hamilton and three brothers, Edison, Allen and Danny Hamilton. Also surviving are four children, Archie (Teryl) Hamilton of Jackson, Ohio, Connie (Jim) Evans of Stockdale, Ohio, Linda (Terry) Cunningham of Circleville, Ohio and David (Fanny) Hamilton of Columbus, Ohio, four step-sons, James (Dolly) Chandler of Beaver, Ohio, Jack (Lana) Chandler of Seaman, Ohio, Wayne (Judy) Chandler of Beaver, Ohio and Mike (Diana) Chandler of California, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and one son-in-law, Mike Snyder of Circleville, Ohio. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Beaver Valley United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday December 30, 2016 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Arvil Murray and Bro. Jeff Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Cordle Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday December 29, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
