Herman Ernest “Ernie” Rader, age 88, of Beaver, Ohio, died Monday December 30, 2024 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1936 in Beaver, Ohio, a son of the late Herman Rader and Goldie Bostic Rader. He was united in marriage in 1981 to his wife, Lorita June Grover Rader, who preceded him in death August 30, 2021. Surviving are one son, Steve (Barb) Rader of Beaver, Ohio, two step-sons, David (Jennifer) Paugh of Bainbridge, Georgia and Dwayne (Ellen) Paugh of Peyton, Colorado, one step-daughter, Debbie Sirback of Lancaster, Ohio, two grandchildren, Heath (Jessica) Rader and Ryan (Jacinda) Rader, 5 step-grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Lowe, Alicia (Cory) Sheppard, Jessica (Anthony) Marcarelli, Daniel (Shantale) Paugh, and Megan Paugh, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one brother, Kenneth (Barb) Rader of Kalkaska, Michigan. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Rader and one brother, Gary Rader.
Ernie graduated from Beaver High School in 1955 and was a retired truck driver with 25 years of service. He was a lifelong Christian and attended the Trinity Chapel Church and Yankee Hill Church. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed spending his time mowing grass. He also found great joy in hunting when his health allowed.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday January 3, 2025 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
