Gregory Gene Brigner

Gregory Gene Brigner, age 66, of Beaver, Ohio, died Thursday July 6, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 12, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Harold Brigner and Georgia Pelfrey McKee of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are a daughter, Hannah (Tyler Massie) Brigner of Waverly, Ohio, two step-sons, Alex (Sarah Loudner) Sowry of Dublin, Ohio and Zack (Emily) Sowry of Ashland, Kentucky, his loving companion, Mary Tilley of Beaver, Ohio, a brother, Jeff (Kitty) Brigner of Columbus, Ohio, two sisters, Anita Brigner of Columbus, Ohio and Sheryl (Scott) Brigner Kahlor of Columbus, Ohio, several nieces and nephews, and his loving pets, Punky, Sugar, and Big Boy. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Brigner Ison and a brother-in-law, Eddie Ison.

Greg was a U.S. Navy Veteran, where he was a member of the Navy Construction Force. He loved spending his time hunting wildlife, mushroom hunting, gardening, watching old western movies, and supporting The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also found great enjoyment listening to his favorite Rock N Roll bands such as AC DC and Def Leopard, among many others.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 11, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Chaplain Jeremy Schinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Germany Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
