Goldie Irene (Williams) Vance

Goldie Irene Vance, age 95, of Waverly, Ohio, died Wednesday September 27, 2023 at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born August 18, 1928 in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of the late Thomas Harry Williams and Rosa Jenkins Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Howard Vance, seven daughters, including infant daughter Delores Ann Daniels, five sons, two sisters, Betty Riggs and Mabel Brownfield, and one brother, Asa Williams. Surviving are her children, Jack (Sheri) Vance of North Carolina, Richard (Janice) Tiller of Waverly, Ohio, Rosa (Henry) Davis of Beaver, Ohio, and Jennifer Yates of Alabama, twenty two grandchildren, Amanda Daniels, Jeffery Davis, Kevin Davis, Ronald Daniels, Anita Christian, Brandi Hight, Adam Daniels, Tommy Tiller, Angela Yates, Mathew Osborne, Brian Yates, Heather (Corey) Clark, Avery (Kammi) Woods, Laken Tiller, Bobby Vance, Tearsa Stanley, Tommy Stanley, Tyler Barnes, Sheranda Adkins, Everett Varney, Brock Sanders, and Marie Sanders, forty three great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday September 30, 2023 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Pastor Rick Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Friday September 29, 2023 at the funeral home.
