- Revelation Chapter 21, Verse 4
Geraldine "Jane" Davis was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, Ohio following an extended illness. Geraldine was born on September 3, 1924 in Pike County, Ohio to Ernest and Della Mae (Kuhn) Harris. She was united in marriage to George Davis on October 16, 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her six brothers, Arnold, Waynard, Carl, Harley, Lloyd, and Alfred Harris; and two sisters, Margaret Reisinger and Coralee Herman. Her memory will be cherished by her brother Delbert Harris and her sister Dolly Cotton, both of Beaver, Ohio; two sister-in-laws, Mary Harris of Chillicothe, Ohio and Bonnie Harris of Beaver, Ohio; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Geraldine was a member of House of Prayer Church of Beaver, Ohio, and she read the Bible every night before her bedtime. She was called Jane by all who knew and loved her. In her memory, we will remember the words of this song: "This world is not my home, I'm just a passing thru, my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue; the angels beckon me from heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world anymore." So rest in peace, Geraldine, and be heaven's guest. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday August 15, 2014 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Bro. Darrell Ishmael officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrs Run Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Geraldine "jane" Davis, please visit our floral store.
