Geneva L. Schrader, age 92, of Beaver, Ohio, died Monday October 19, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 8, 1928 in Dunlow, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Luther and Maltie Maynard. She was united in marriage in 1949 to her husband of 71 years, Alvin “George” Schrader Jr., who survives. Also surviving are one son, Dana (Susie) Schrader of Beaver, Ohio, two grandchildren, Jason (Lindsey) Schrader of Waverly, Ohio and Christina (Josh) Adams of Beaver, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Chase Adams, Haley Adams, Layne Adams, Jake Schrader, Abby Schrader Tucker Schrader, and Tyler Schrader, two sisters, Faye Burns and Sue Luedecke, and one brother, Aura Errol Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Steven Schrader and ten brothers and sisters.
Geneva adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family. With a strong faith, she was baptized as a teenager and loved attending and singing in church. She was employed as a cook in the Eastern Local School system for many years and enjoyed spending time gardening, working in her flowers, and cooking.
Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 22, 2020 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Graveside services will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery.
