Gary Lee Malone

Gary Lee Malone, age 64, of Waverly, Ohio, died Tuesday November 15, 2022 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 16, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Bobby Lee Malone and Gloria Elizabeth Bowshire Malone. Surviving are two sons, Daniel (Lisa) Malone of Latham, Ohio and David Anthony Preston of Latham, Ohio, three grandchildren, Cody (Cassie) Malone, Kyle Malone, and Danny Malone, two great-grandchildren, Eddie and Raylynn Malone, two brothers, Arthur (Emily) Malone of Oklahoma and Bobby Joe (Dawn) Malone of Chillicothe, Ohio, three sisters, Sarah Prince of Waverly, Ohio, Gina (Gary) Remy of Ray, Ohio, and Julie (Joe) Browning of Waverly, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews, including Michael (Sarah) Prince, Sonya Prince, Mark Malone, Gary W. Remy, Heather M. Remy, Joseph A. (Sierra) Browning, Dillan (Amber) Browning, Stephanie (Mike) Brown, and Amanda Myers, and great-nieces and nephews, Riley and Rayden Remy, Asher Holobaugh, Daisy Remy, Paisley Rae and Walker Browning, Peyton Brown, Whitley Brown, Blakeleigh Brown, Sawyer and Gunner Myers, Brayden Malone, and Johnathan Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janie Williams, one nephew, Bobby A. Malone, and one great-niece, Abreigh Brown.

Gary adored spending time with his family, especially his son David. He also had a love for working and enjoyed spending his free time cheering on the OSU Buckeyes, hunting, fishing, and taking trips to the beach.

Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday November 25, 2022 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Omega Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
