Emery Gene Montgomery

Emery Gene Montgomery, age 69, of Beaver, Ohio, died Saturday October 19, 2013 at the Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. He was born November 8, 1943 in Beaver, Ohio, a son of the late Virgil and Onie Rigsby Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery was united in marriage June 14, 1969 to his wife, Pearl Francis Montgomery, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Eric (April) Montgomery of Waverly, Ohio, three grandchildren, Logan Isaac Montgomery, Evan Andrew Montgomery and Ethan Sean Montgomery, two brothers Frank (Susie) Montgomery of Beaver, Ohio and Doug (Pat) Montgomery of Beaver, Ohio, and one sister, Minnie Francis (Charlie) Jones of Beaver, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hershel Montgomery, Earsel Montgomery, Donald Lee Montgomery, and Charles Montgomery and one sister, Wanda Rider. Mr. Montgomery attended the Beaver Valley Church and By The Way of The Cross Church, enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, and loved spending his time with his grandchildren, whom he loved and adored. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 22, 2013 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio with Dee Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio . Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Monday October 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
